Love Stories 1997

Synopsis

Four men – a university teacher, a priest, an army officer and a criminal (both played by the same actor – Jerzy Stuhr) are summoned for questioning to some mysterious office. An official asks them questions about their private life. After leaving the office they all are put to the test; can they remain faithful to those who love them? Four versions of the emotional life of a man in his prime, whose abilities to show emotions and love are examined.
The story of the film employs many conventions of the morality play.
The film was dedicated to the memory of Krzysztof Kieślowski.
