In The Old Manor House 1984
Synopsis
Dyapanazy kills his beautiful wife Anastazia when he finds out that she is having an affair with Jęzory – his son from the first marriage. During a dispute between the father and the son about whom she loved more, her ghost appears suddenly declaring that it was plenipotentiary Kozdroń who was her true lover. The ghost of Anastazia interfering in the affairs of the living appears repeatedly throughout the film, causing – as befits a tragedy – many deaths. Ghosts of the people who died dance on the ruins of the once peaceful manor.
Film adaptation of the grotesque drama by S.I. Witkiewicz "In The Old Manor" ("W starym dworku").
