Marynia 1983

Synopsis

The end of the nineteenth century. Stanisław Połaniecki comes to Krzemień, to the Pławicki family estate to demand the repayment of the mortgage taken out twenty years ago. There he meets Marynia, daughter of the impoverished landowner Pławicki, and love blossoms between the two of them. Their mutual friend, Emilia, encourages Połaniecki to propose to Marynia, but then it turns out that Pławicki has no money to repay the loan. Stach, infuriated, leaves without saying goodbye. He sells the mortgage debt to his friend, lawyer Maszko. After some time Maszko buys out the Krzemień estate.
