The Lesser of Two Evils 2009
Synopsis
The main character, Kamil, is a novice writer, a careerist and opportunist living in Poland of the 1980s. Young, educated people are expected to take a clear stand on which side of the barricade they are. Kamil, however, cannot decide. After his first printed poem, which proved to be a success, none of the rest followed. The University is not willing to tolerate his failed exams any longer, it is not going well with girls either... On the one hand, the party reaches out for the young student, on the other – colleagues from the opposition call for support. To cap it all, the threat of being enlisted into the army hangs over...
The film was based on the novel "Cały czas" by Janusz Anderman.
