femina 1990
Synopsis
Bogna, a thirty-year-old woman, lost in her own reality and not quite happy with her personal life, learns about her mother\'s death after her husband leaves the country for a scholarship. A visit in her home town to attend the funeral happens to be a peculiar time travel. Old memories from unhappy childhood come flooding back: the house dominated by her bigot mother (hence the name Bogna meaning \'devoted to God\'), and Stalin as a cult figure of the 1950s – the period of Bogna\'s adolescence – haunting her in nightmares.
Now, being a mature woman, she cannot escape the past and goes from one extreme to the other.
