The Wedding Night in Broad Daylight 1982
The end of the 1970s. A group of land surveyors arrives at a small town with the plans to build a new road in the area. This, however, sparks off the protest of one of the local farmers, as the planned route is to run through his land. The dispute between the farmer and the surveyors finds its tragic end in front of party officials attending a nearby banquet.
The film by Jerzy Gruza is a satire directed at the social conditions of the late Gierek era.
